Here is a poem written by Ragini Ramanujam, my 11 years old granddaughter.
Thanks. RKM
The Cloud
I hover over the entire earth,
Floating, time and again;
I watch everything going on down there,
I see children, women and men.
I drift over cities big and small,
I linger over forests of oak and pine,
I fly over endless deserts of sand,
I watch everything, all the time.
I grow larger and larger on a sunny day,
Bursting with drops from the sea,
I turn from puffy white to grey,
And I start moving more slowly.
I grow dark grey, almost black,
And then I burst, forming rain,
I grow smaller, smaller, until the rain stops,
Then I'm white once again.
Over and over, I roam the skies,
With my companions, the sun and moon,
And once in a while I talk with stars at night,
And other clouds in the afternoon.
I sometimes come down to the earth,
And block the human's sight,
They seem to call me 'fog' or 'mist',
As I dart to the left, then right.
The ones who really see me up close,
Come in airplanes or hot-air balloons,
Hang-gliders, parachutes, helicopters too,
Or rockets travelling to the moon.
