I know many of you might be browsing and searching how people in Pakistan celebrate Diwali. In case if you don't know, there are approx 5 million Hindus living in Pakistan (mostly in Sindh and Karachi). There is tiny number of Hindus living in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan and Peshawar.
I admit there was a time when there was lack of media attention over coverage of Hindu festivals in Pakistan. In recent years, govt and media of Pakistan promote Diwali festivals at mainstream level which is overwhelming. Nawaz Sharif also addressed the Hindu community of Pakistan at occasion of Diwali last year and I hope Imran Khan will follow his footsteps. This is good sign that gradually our Hindu brothers in Pakistan are getting more media attention which they deserve and it was missing in past years. Many Pakistani Muslims who reside with Hindus in Sindh do celebrate Diwali festival. Govt of Sindh announces a public holiday at occasion of Diwali every year. These are some good gestures and we all should appreciate them from all corners.
Below I would like to show some pictures of Diwali in some parts of Pakistan.
Diwali celebrations in Multan:
Diwali celebrations in Peshawar and KPK:
Diwali celebrations in Rawalpindi:

Diwali in Karachi:
Diwali celebrations at IBA Hostel in Karachi.
Diwali celebrations in Mithi (Tharparkar, Sindh):
This is worth mentioning German Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Martin Kobler also celebrated Diwali in Pakistan last year.
At this moment, we Pakistani Muslims should greet to our Hindu brothers in order to promote religious diversity in Pakistan.
